Upon following the release of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, both developer Respawn Entertainment alongside publisher Electronic Arts were overwhelmed by the glowing success for the Titanfall team’s first approach at a solely single-player experience. Noted, the studio did work on a story campaign for Titanfall 2, the firm also put its energy into multiplayer portion as well.
However, unlike its sibling projects that Respawn Entertainment produced previously, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order did not receive a lick of additional content. While that is not strictly to say no content, there were updates which included new Meditation Challenges and the highly-requested New Game. But for a story DLC, that is where the game comes up short.
And while that is left in the past on the initial hardware it arrived on, Respawn Entertainment on Wednesday dismissed a new glowing update for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order for the next-generation systems. You can read the synopsis for the respected platforms in the list below:
Xbox Series X|S
Xbox Series S – Framerate has been increased to 60 FPS (up from 45 FPS
Xbox Series X (Performance Mode) – Framerate has been increased to 60 FPS, dynamic resolution added in the range of 1080p to 1440p.
Xbox Series X (non-Performance Mode) – Postprocessing has been increased to 4K, dynamic resolution in the range of 1512p to 2160p.
PlayStation 5
Framerate has been increased to 60 FPS (up from 45 FPS), postprocessing increased to 1440p, dynamic resolution has been disabled and the game is rendering at 1200p (up from 810-1080p).
The update is available starting today and incorporates new strengths only reachable on the latest console hardware. Alike other next-generation enhancements, the Xbox Series X receives two modes to play – performance and quality. But, the PlayStation 5 is left out of the equation.
Now that this new update is shipped on the newest Xbox and PlayStation, it is due for more information to surface in regards to a sequel for Jedi: Fallen Order. Although nothing is tangible yet for the game, it is certain a series is to form following the game’s success. Electronic Arts’ CEO Andrew Wilson best describes the game to be a stepping stone for a new series. You can read the full report by heading here.
