Rewinding the clock back to late February this past winter, it appeared that The Pokémon Company was hinting at a new reveal correlating to its self-named video game franchise. While the trailer did bring a lot of hope for another live-action Pokémon movie to follow 2019’s Detective Pikachu, it instead introduced the newest generation to hit Nintendo platforms.
Hence welcomed Pokémon Scarlet & Pokémon Violet. The reveal featured the three new starter Pokémon: Sprigatito, Fuecoco, Quaxly. Additionally, the new setting for the game also appeared to explore a new region inspired by Spain with its unique architecture and sandy coasts. This week, The Pokémon Company shared a new trailer for the two games will be arriving delivering more context on Pokémon Scarlet & Pokémon Violet.
Atop of more gameplay for the next entries in the series, we were also welcomed with a release date slated for this November as well. You can watch the new trailer in the video below:
“The new Legendary Pokémon appearing in these titles, Koraidon and Miraidon, are on each cover of the retail version of the game, and the title logos are embellished with foil stamp-like designs that use these Legendary Pokémon as motifs. The packages of these games have a similar look to the covers of old books and evoke the feeling that a new story lies ahead,” the firm writes in the blog post.
Additional new information for Pokémon Scarlet & Pokémon Violet also includes a new world to explore. This time, the terrain is open-world and the story will not interfere with where you can go. Atop of that, you with three other players are welcomed to explore and battle throughout the new region.
