Nintendo Direct confirmed for tomorrow, featuring upcoming games for the Switch

Nintendo has officially announced that a Nintendo Direct will be happening tomorrow, March 27. It was rumored a few days ago that such an event would happen before the Switch 2 Direct next Wednesday. The Nintendo Direct on Thursday will feature around 30 minutes of upcoming games for the Nintendo Switch.

Nintendo confirmed there would be no updates about Nintendo Switch 2 during this presentation. The Nintendo Direct focusing on Switch 1 games will be live on YouTube at 10:00 AM ET / 7:00 AM PT. 

In other Nintendo-related news, it has been reported that the Switch 2 will release in June 2025. There are also rumors of the console having a three-phase launch plan. The first phase will focus on first-party releases at launch then third-party games, and then the holiday season.

The company didn’t suggest what games we could expect in this direct, but clearly these will be games designed for the Nintendo Switch 1.
