Over the last several months the ‘Nintendo Switch 2‘ has been rumored to release in late 2024 and it would release with Final Fantasy VII, a camera feature, backward compatibility, and other features. A new leak suggests the new Nintendo console is codenamed ‘NG’ and it will come with two models, one being physical and the other digital.
The latest leaked information comes from SoldierDelta who has been correct before. From his Discord server, he talks with his community about what other details he knows of the ‘Switch 2’. The Nintendo Switch 2 has a planned release in September 2024, but he does say there is a placeholder for Early November and says ‘NG’ is the internal codename.
The ‘NG’ standard console would be released for $449.99 while a digital option would be released for $399.99 USD.

If that’s true it’s similar to what Sony did with its release of the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition and Physical Edition. It would make sense for the digital version that wouldn’t accept cartridges to be cheaper than the standard as it would give consumers options.
