Since the Nintendo Switch 2 was revealed last week, there has been a lot of confusion regarding the Switch 2 Edition games. Select titles, including Super Mario Party Jamboree, Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Kirby and the Forgotten Land, and more, will be enhanced for the Switch 2.
The concern among fans has been whether the physical versions of these Switch 2 Edition games only have the Switch 1 cartridge and a download code to upgrade it.
Nintendo put out a statement to Vooks confirming that Nintendo Switch 2 Edition games will include the original Nintendo Switch 2 game and its upgrade pack all on one card.

For Nintendo-published games, the Switch 2 edition is going to include the entire game on the cartridge, with no other download required. As for third-party games, that might be different.
Although The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is going to have a Switch 2 Edition game, the $79.99 cost will not include the Expansion Pass the game had.
