It has been reported that the Nintendo Switch 2 will be revealed this month and according to reliable insider NateTheHate, the console will be revealed this week. It is expected Nintendo will announce on Wednesday, January 15 that it will be revealing the Nintendo Switch 2 on Thursday, January 16.

The insider says the reveal will be focused on the console itself with the software showcase coming later. Similar to how the Nintendo Switch was revealed where they showcased the console and how it’s used with teases of games followed by a games showcase a few months later.

It is speculated the Nintendo Switch 2 software showcase will take place in late February or early March. The release date is still expected to be around May to June 2025.

NateTheHate also reported that Xbox will be supporting Nintendo Switch 2 with Halo: The Master Chief Collection and Microsoft Flight Simulator. Square Enix is also expected to support the console with Final Fantasy XVI, VII Rebirth, and VII Remake.
