It’s that time of year again when all major companies hold their quarterly earnings calls. Today, Nintendo released their latest results as of December 31, 2024. They revealed total software sales including 5 million more units sold for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Mario Party Jamboree debuting with over 6 million units sold.

When it comes to hardware sales, the Switch has grown closer to taking down the PlayStation 2 and the Nintendo DS. The Nintendo Switch has now sold over 150 Million units as of the end of 2024.

Console sales are still rising for the Switch although we are expecting to have the Nintendo Switch 2 released in 2025.

Sales for the Switch are expected to slow down with Nintendo getting ready for its successor. However, they still plan to release games on the original Switch. Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is still planned to release this year on the console.

Do you think the Switch will reach 160 Million units?
