To many fans anticipating One More Level’s Ghostrunner, the game is finally out now for all major systems. However, not all promised platforms are to get the game on day one. While it was originally planned to get its launch day release after the sudden announcement last month, publisher 505 Games shares that the Nintendo Switch version for Ghostrunner is not on the horizon for this month.

Instead, the game will face a slight delay according to a recent blog post made by the firm. “The Nintendo Switch version faces a slight delay into November, as the Ghostrunner teams want all players to have the best possible experience with the game,” 505 Games’ Stephen Takowsky, Community Manager relays on the news.

The announcement while taking some off guard is still a tad stifling to say the least. Although it is certainly ambitious for the developers to task themselves with a Nintendo Switch port, especially with an abrupt reveal earlier on, many did anticipate a release push to happen. Just looking at the visual complexity of Ghostrunner alongside the initiative to offer a consistently high framerate, it is a lot more to achieve for the studios.

Given that the version will now be shipping in the following month, the Nintendo Switch port is still arriving ahead of the next-generation iterations of Ghostrunner. Last week, 505 Games unveiled that Ghostrunner will hit Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 later in 2021. Users on current consoles can pick up the game for free as well. Ghostrunner is coming to Nintendo Switch sometime in November; available now for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC; slated for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 later in 2021.
