Nintendo’s Next Lego Endeavor Is A To Scale Version Of The Classic NES Console

Nintendo’s last partnership with Lego left off back in March when it officially kicked off pre-orders for its Super Mario line of products. However, it was presumed that the one branded shipment of Lego sets would end there. But in a new announcement, Nintendo alongside Lego has unveiled that it will be collaborating once again for a new set that is currently underway.

In the tweet that was posted this week, Lego has announced that its newest product in partnership with the Japanese console titan will be a to scale version of the classic Nintendo Entertainment System alongside a miniature television set for you to play Mario himself on one of the iconic levels in the franchise.

You can watch the overview for the set in the video below:

“With authentic reproductions of the original console, controller and Game Pak cartridge, plus a retro-styled 1980s TV, the exclusive new Lego Nintendo Entertainment System gives fans of Super Mario Bros. a new way to recapture childhood magic,” the Lego set’s listing reads on Lego’s website.

Additionally, fans who already plan on owning the Super Mario Starter Course can also expect additional features for this new set. In that, the listing elaborates further by sharing that the titular protagonist will react to the game on the classic box TV when it is in motion. “Place him on the top of the TV to watch him react to the on-screen enemies, obstacles and power-ups – all while the original game’s theme tune is playing.”

Even more, the most enticing part about the new Nintendo Entertainment System Set is that batteries are not required for the piece. While the Super Mario from the Starter Course Set is told to perform all the functions for the TV set, it will not add additional stress to receive the full experience if you decide to purchase the set.
