Original Kings Canyon & World’s Edge Comes Back In New Genesis Collection Event For Apex Legends, Starts June 29 With Skull Town Entering Arenas

Among the major additions to the ongoing battle royale from Respawn Entertainment, Apex Legends most recent Season 9 introduced some impressive features to the 2019 release. In that, an entirely new mode was added to the game: Arenas. While previously datamined in the past, the new experience gathers what players love about Apex Legends and infuses that with round-based combat and a progressing economy per match.

Additionally, the developer also included its most Titanfall character yet to the game, Valkyrie. Her ability to take combat to the skies along with her missile salvo tactical and jump tower-like ultimate views her as one of the most game-changing Legends to date. Her lore also runs deep into the Apex Legends subseries as her father was an ‘Apex Champion’ in the pervious Titanfall 2.

However, the game studio continued to press its fans on Skull Town making a comeback in some capacity. In a new trailer on Thursday, Respawn Entertainment unveiled the Genesis Collection Event. You can watch the new trailer in the video below:

“Head back to where it all started with the Legacy Maps Apex Takeover.  Season 0 Kings Canyon and Season 3 World’s Edge return for a limited time, taking over the normal Trios and Duos queues in 1 hour rotations. […]Hot drop in Kings Canyon at Skull Town (we know you will) and Thunderdome! Grab that sweet loot on the moving train as it barrels through a pristine Capital City in the era before the Harvester landed in World’s Edge. Show your new Apex friends the terror of rotating through Bridges or the epic multi-team throwdowns in Fuel Depot.”

Most excitingly is that while battle royale receives the major event, Arenas is not left out. After extended request from the community, Skull Town will now be added to the rotating list of maps at the end of June. Genesis Collection Event goes live from June 29 to July 13.
