Over 355 Thousand Cheaters Have Been Banned From Apex Legends

In February it was reported that over 16 thousand cheaters have been banned from Apex Legends. In a recent community update via reddit, Respawn talked about upcoming fixes in the game and their plan to fight against cheaters on PC. As of yesterday they’ve banned over 355 thousand cheaters on PC through Easy-Anti-Cheat. The company also revealed plans to try and combat the cheaters in Apex Legends.

They are reaching out and working directly with experts, both within and outside of EA. Growing their anti-cheat team so they can have more dedicated resources. Lastly, Respawn are adding a report feature on PC to report cheaters in game that goes directly to Easy-Anti-Cheat.

When we first heard that they banned the 16 thousand we weren’t told which platform they were all from, but it’s pretty clear PC has the cheaters. It would be shocking to see cheaters on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

In the coming week Apex players could be playing a new character in Octane who is supposed to release at the same time as the Battle Pass.
