Roughly a year since its release, PocketPair’s Palworld has shaken the industry with its Pokémon-like charm and hardened use of MMO grinding & inventory sorting. While originally releasing for Xbox & PC, Palworld did officially receive a PlayStation 5 version this past fall. However, Nintendo also had something to say about the new release.
While it was apparent the influences that a certain franchise made towards the designs for Palworld, Nintendo & The Pokémon Company did issue a lawsuit against PocketPair. But while the filing is still in process, Palworld is moving to even more platforms. In a collaboration with Krafton, a mobile version for Palworld is planned to release based of the new partnership.
Now with a full year behind Palworld this month, PocketPair celebrates with a roadmap on the future plans for Palworld. In that, it shares a whole list of features promised for Palworld; you can read below:
- CO-OP Crossplay
- World Transfers for Pals
- World Tree / Ending Scenario
- Further ways to strengthen and improve Pals
- Various new content such as new Pals and technologies
- Game Collaborations (Including Terraria)
- Improvements to world object placement
- Improvements to base Pals
- Improvements to optimization
- Improvements to UX
“We’ll be holding a popularity vote for the over 180 Pals that have appeared so far, as well as the seven leaders of the enemy factions. We invite all players and fans to take part,” PocketPair issued in the press release. “We’ve been updating the game since the start of Early Access, and we’ll continue to update Palworld as we prepare for the official release!”
With more promises for Palworld despite its relationship with Nintendo, PocketPair is committed to serving those that continue to play the game. One aspect that the developer did clarify is that Palworld will not explore options to being free-to-play. You can read the full report by heading here.
