Rockstar Games announcing that last year’s Red Dead Redemption 2 will officially be coming to PC surely wild up many anticipated fans on the platform seeing that this will be the first installment in the Red Dead series to arrive on PC. Along with the expectedly hefty space requirement for the AAA project, the developer also primed the new version with a few extra features and goodies for users wielding keyboard & mouse.
One being a photo mode for the sequel prequel western: the title is notorious for the game’s well-detailed texturing, ambient lighting, and over the top setting of manifest destiny at the turn of the century. However, users on console were limited to how they captured their experiences as no specific image capturing feature was implemented at launch last October and still almost touching 2020. Another being a slew of additional story missions that were only available for the PC versions also including new gang hideouts, weapons, and horses.
This week, Rockstar Games revealed that the initially unique features to PC will now be coming to PlayStation 4. The proclaimed photo mode will offer users to add filters, text, and other appearance changing elements to your images captured in-game. As for the story content only available on PC, Rockstar also unloaded the bevy of add-ons to the PlayStation 4 as well. Most notably, the “To The Ends of the Earth” story mission being added surely adds to the Stranger library of quests, but acts out differently upon the others which you will discover when playing.
In the midst of today’s reveal, Rockstar Games also revealed that PlayStation 4 players will also receive the Moonshiners Band expansion for no additional cost. Xbox One users can expect the photo mode, story quests, and band DLC to arrive on January 21 next month.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is out now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
