What came as a surprise was discovering that Naughty Dog – or should I say Sony Interactive Entertainment Visual Arts – was working on a remake for 2013’s The Last of Us. In a report from Bloomberg, the project overshadowed ambitions for 2006’s Uncharted. It was not until summer this year it was dubbed ‘The Last of Us Part I’ which brings the game to new light in the update engine that The Last of Us Part II utilized.
As for the plans ahead for the IP, the original leaks for The Last of Us Part I also pointed at a PC release for the game. And with many other PlayStation titles also featuring more ports for the platform, this was no surprise. It was eye-opening to find that a separate multiplayer experience is also being whipped up by the team as well.
At 2022’s The Game Awards, Sony Interactive Entertainment announced The Last of Us Part I is officially coming to PC this spring. Players can expect to get their hands on the game come March next year, according to the new trailer.
How excited are you for The Last of Us Part I to be coming to PC?
The Last of Us Part I ships on March 3, 2023 for PC; out now for PlayStation 5.
