While we already knew that Persona 5: The Royal would be launching on October 31st in Japan, we only knew that it would hit the west sometime in 2020. We now have confirmation from Atlus that the game will release sometime in the Spring of 2020. Titled Persona 5: Royal in the west, the game will feature a ton of new content not found in the original, including a new member of the Phantom Thieves who’s motives still remain unknown. Similarly to how Persona 4: Golden and Persona 3: FES added new content to their respective games, this is Persona 5’s way of adding new story and content to an already jam packed JRPG.
That’s not all that Persona fans have to look forward to as the series is also getting a new game in an entirely different genre. Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers is a spinoff musou game from Koei Tecmo which will be releasing on both Playstation 4 and Nintendo Switch sometime in the future, most likely after Persona 5: Royal releases.
Persona 5: Royal will launch October 31st in Japan and sometime in the spring of 2020 in the west exclusively on the Playstation 4.
