Grasping the reality that we are heading to later this October, it is still baffling to consider a new Super Monkey Ball title is on the way to release. While Sega continues to capitalize on Sonic the Hedgehog & Yakuza properties already, the publisher is going heavy for Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania. The initial momentum kicked off with the reveal that it will feature Jet Set Radio’s Beat in the new release.
However, plans for more crossovers only thickened for the project when time proceeded. In that, Sega soon unveiled that both Sonic the Hedgehog and Tails will be featured in the new entry as well. But, it does not stop there just yet either. Additionally, it was shared that Kiryu Kazuma will be the playable in Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania too.
Now in a new announcement from Gamescom Opening Night Live on Wednesday, Sega shares the next reveal for Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania is welcoming Persona 5’s Morgana to the game. You can watch the new trailer in the video below:
“Cunning, courageous, and definitely NOT a cat! The feisty Phantom Thief rolls into the world of Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania – ready to steal your heart (and treasure) along the way!” Sega writes in the video’s description. More interesting is that Sega presses Morgana to be a psot-launch add-on for Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania costing $4.99.
By extension, it also suggests that more additions could make its arrival to Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania in the time following the full game’s release later this fall. At this rate, I would root on Billy from Billy Hatcher to be a featured addition for Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania, but only time will reveal if that hope will become a reality.
Are you planning to buy Morgana for Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania?
Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania arrives to Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC on October 5, 2021.
