The release date for Red Dead Redemption 2 is closing in on less than two weeks and Rockstar Games has been slowly feeding us on what will becoming in the highly anticipated western title. It was recently discovered that for those who purchase the physical version of the game will have to be ready to swap disks at some point as two will be paired in the case.
As we already know that the upcoming game will be a burden on your hard drive with an expected 105 GB download for PlayStation 4 and 88 GB for Xbox One. According to the Japanese version of the game (translated via Nibellion), the PlayStation 4 iteration will include two disks for the game and assuming this is the same for Xbox One also.

This baffling fans for how large the title is to require two disks for the game. But this isn’t the first time we’ve witnessed this happen for the current generation, looking at titles like Batman: Return To Arkham and The Bioshock Collection. As we assumed that adopting Blu-Ray discs completely for both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, it doesn’t completely eliminate the possibility of needing more than one disk.
Looking back at the last generation, Rockstar published titles like Grand Theft Auto V and LA Noire required more than one disk to play the game on Xbox 360. GTA V with two and LA with three disks to fully play the expansive stories from Rockstar Games.
Red Dead Redemption 2 has a release date slated for October 26, 2018 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
