There have been talks and rumors about EA Access finally coming to PlayStation 4. Recently, it was found on the Brazilian PlayStation Store and that was one of the hints that made us think that we’ll definitely see the service coming to the console soon. Now, PureGaming have found PlayStation 4 in the source code of the page from the purchase page that was found on the store. There was a hidden section of the website and it had the following descriptions:
- Log in to your PlayStation 4 system and link your EA account.”
- “You will need to log in to your PSN account to purchase your subscription to EA Access.”
This makes all the previous rumors about the service coming to the console more true and it looks like we’ll just have to wait for either Sony or EA to announce something. EA Access has only been available on Xbox One since August 11, 2014. The service was initially pitched to both Microsoft and Sony, but Sony declined to participate.
EA Access is a subscription service where you’ll be able to play numerous Electronic Arts titles in exchange for a monthly or yearly payment. Right now it’s about $30.00 a year and $4.99 a month. It’s similar to the Xbox Game Pass service.
It makes perfect sense that it’ll finally come to Sony’s console as it was originally planned to, but it was up to the company to accept the offer or not. EA made some changes to their annual EA Play event that takes place in June and they will not have a conference.
Will you get EA Access on PlayStation 4 when or if it comes?
