“Now that the event is confirmed for June 11, I wanted to add that this pre-taped program will be broadcast at 1080p and 30 frames per second. This eased the show’s production process during a time when many of our team and developers are working from home. The games you’ll see on Thursday will look even better when you play them on PS5 with a 4K TV, as you’d expect.”
Sony is set to reveal their next generation console which will be the PlayStation 5. Originally the showcase event was scheduled for June 4th, but was delayed and it looks like the event is happening on Thursday, June 11.
This comes from a leak through a Twitch ad. You can see the video below tweeted by PS5Only:

The time of the showcase is aimed for 4 PM EST and 9 PM BST.
Sony has yet to say anything regarding this, but we assume that it will be shortly as we are 3 days away from that date. The PlayStation 5 is slated to release Holiday 2020 alongside competition, Xbox Series X where Microsoft has been very confident in their reveals. We should expect to see great demos of some PlayStation Exclusives this week that includes The Last Of Us 2 and more.
