In the realm of Pokémon Go, it is considered a separate animal to the foundational Pokémon series. While separate, many still flock to the mobile counterpart with new updates that arrive periodically. Previously, Niantic shipped a new update which introduced the Pokémon native to Gen 6’s Kalos Region alongside featuring a new Seasons feature to refresh the wild Pokémon during certain times of the year.

Additionally, Niantic also shared its ambitions to further explore Pokémon Go with augmented reality. After witnessing impressive fan-made creations for Microsoft’s HoloLens, Niantic showcased its own in-house version during a keynote last year. Pokémon Go also made shockwaves with a New Pokémon Snap event that came last spring as well at the time.

Recently, Niantic announced that the game will be breaking its digital chains with a new arrangement with The Pokémon Company. In collaboration with the official Trading Card Game division, cards based on the game will be arriving later on in 2022.

“This summer, a collaboration between the Pokémon Trading Card Game and Pokémon GO will be released! The Pokémon TCG: Pokémon GO expansion will feature cards themed after the popular mobile game,” the firm shares in the announcement. Details are still fresh on the arrangement and pricing is still not disclosed.

For other Pokémon card news, The Pokémon Company announced it will be delivering a digital Pokémon Trading Card Game experience for mobile including Android & iOS atop of PC as well. You can read the full report by heading here.
