Pokémon Legends Arceus Officially Arrives To Nintendo Switch On January 28 Next Year

In the past stretch of weeks, Nintendo & The Pokémon Company has marketed towards the release of its next project, New Pokémon Snap. Arrived in late April, the game stands to be a return to the classic Nintendo 64 release with an overall update including visuals and an expanded Pokédex including the latest generation of Pokémon. At the same time, Niantic also launched a limited time event for Pokémon Go as well.

Previous, however, The Pokémon Company welcomed the ambitious Pokémon Legends Arceus. Unlike traditional Pokémon entries, the latest is a spin-off taking place in the feudal era set in the Sinnoh Region. Additionally, it introduces players to an open-world experience to the beginning of Pokémon collecting.

Originally aimed for a 2022 release, The Pokémon Company updated the official website for the game which now lists a release date landing in late January. The Japanese page for Pokémon Legends: Arceus reveals the box art for the game which you can view below:

“The Pokémon Legends: Arceus game honors past Pokémon games’ core gameplay while infusing new action and RPG elements,” the overview reads on the update page. “You’ll need to catch, survey, and research wild Pokémon in a long-gone era of the Sinnoh region to create and complete the region’s first Pokédex.”

Surely, the announcement comes at the most baffling times just short of this coming E3. That being noted mainly due to Nintendo announcing its presence for the June show next month. However, Nintendo has yet to address when exactly the firm will be presenting or showcasing new announcements this June.
