One of the biggest upsets concerning the Prince of Persia series is the current standing for the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake. After years of promises and pushed release dates, the title was ultimately retracted from its initial teams as Ubisoft Montreal picked up the game. However, things came in an impressive surprise with the release of Prince of Persia: The Last Crown earlier in 2024.

From our review for the game, we gave the title a 9.5/10. “Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown stands as a testament to the harmonious fusion of innovative gameplay, a compelling narrative, and exquisite artistic design. The game not only pushes the boundaries of traditional gaming experiences but also immerses players in a visually stunning world inspired by the rich tapestry of Persian mythology.”

Now in a new update for Prince of Persia: The Last Crown, Ubisoft reveals a full-fledge post-launch roadmap is on the way to deliver more content to the game well into 2025 the coming year. You can read the full roadmap in the image below:

“Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is beckoning players back to Mount Qaf starting on March 20, when a free content update will bring new modes and other content to the critically acclaimed, Metroidvania-inspired action-adventure. More updates will follow in spring, summer, and beyond, introducing more modes, challenges, and paid story-driven DLC,” Mikel Reparaz, Ubisoft editorial communications manager says.

“The March 20 update, titled Warrior’s Path, will add speedrun and permadeath modes, as well as four new outfits for Sargon. Later this spring, it’ll be followed by the Boss Attack update, which adds a boss rush challenge in addition to more outfits. The Divine Trials update will follow this summer, adding new combat, platform, and puzzle challenges, along with new Amulets, outfits, and more. The new storyline will debut later this year as paid DLC, and will introduce new environments and enemies for Sargon to confront.”
