To greatly understand Microsoft’s ambitions to what the firm is looking to approach in favor of Xbox, it is easy to understand based on what the firm has stated previously. For one, the company is eager to continue growing its already thriving Xbox Game Pass subscription service. Through the means of fulfilling promotions and permanent perks for active players, new users find more reason to pay for the service each month.
One proposition Microsoft has publicly stated is the pursuit to acquire more talent in favor of the growth for Xbox Game Pass. Xbox lead Phil Spencer explains that the growing hunger of new games requires more in the pipeline only unique to the service. “As Game Pass continues to grow, we need to continue to feed that subscription,” Spencer elaborated at the time of writing.
As to how Microsoft plans to establish more of a footing with these deals and agreements, corporate Xbox will need efficient employees to do the job. Interesting enough, former Netflix Netflix Partner Marketing Director Marcos Waltenberg announces to be joining the Xbox company as Xbox Global Partnerships Director in a recent LinkedIn post.
After a fantastic 5-year journey with countless stunning colleagues at Netflix I’m thrilled to share that I am joining Team Xbox to lead the Global Partnerships group. I can’t wait to learn from the teams behind the iconic Xbox brand, products, services and games (so many amazing games!), and I look forward to doing great things together at such an exciting time of change, growth and new opportunities in the world of Gaming.
While Waltenberg’s reputation stands to be prolific with his work at Netflix between 2016 to 2021, he has also worked with other namely organizations like Fox and Twentieth Century Fox as a marketing director as well. Waltenberg is also a member for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
Looking to what Microsoft executed recently in favor of Xbox Game Pass, the firm unloaded a megaton of additions from its recent acquisition for Bethesda. Additionally, there is also the welcoming hand of 60+ games via EA Play that came to Xbox Game Pass for PC last week as well. You can read the initial report by heading here.
