Rebellion To Launch Sniper Elite: Resistance In January 2025

The next handful of months appears to be a very active time for British game studio Rebellion. Later this year, the firm plans to deliver its next major installment in virtual reality with Zombie Army VR. The game plans to ship across Meta Quest, SteamVR, and even PlayStation 2 VR as well. Additionally, a new IP is also coming from Rebellion as well.

That being Atomfall: set in a dystopic 1960 Britain, you can find the landscape overtaken by deranged cultists and rogue automatrons. What’s more, a new Sniper Elite is on the way too. Back in August, Rebellion shared a new Sniper Elite title – Resistance – is coming and holds an emphasis on co-op in this new standalone story parallel to Sniper Elite 5.

This week, Rebellion shares that Sniper Elite: Resistance is officially coming in January this winter. You can watch the release date trailer in the video below:

“In Sniper Elite: Resistance, Harry Hawker, agent of the Special Operations Executive (SOE), takes the lead role for the first time in the series as he discovers an insidious new Wunderwaffe – something so powerful, it guarantees the Nazis would win the war. This new standalone story runs parallel to the events of Sniper Elite 5 and turns the attention towards the hidden war, far from the front lines, deep within the heart of occupied France,” the description for the game reads.

“Players who pre-order Sniper Elite: Resistance receive a bonus new Target Führer campaign mission, an additional weapon skin, and the powerful Karabiner 98 Rifle. In addition to the bonuses included with the Standard Edition, pre-ordering the Deluxe Edition will also offer fans the classic M1911 Pistol and two days early access to the game,” Rebellion adds.
