New Xbox ‘Cipher’ Controller Reportedly Launching Soon

Microsoft has consistently released new controllers in recent years, previously introducing the ‘Vapor’ controller series. The latest series, known as the ‘Cipher’ controllers, features a translucent design that evokes feelings of nostalgia among gamers. It seems that Microsoft will soon be launching a new Xbox Red Cipher Controller.

According to Billbil-kun from Dealabs, the Xbox Red Cipher Controller features a bright red exterior with colored buttons, while the back is designed in garnet red. To match the rest of the Cipher line it will have a translucent design.

When Will the Red Xbox ‘Cipher’ Controller Be Available?

The outlet couldn’t tell when the Red Cipher Controller would be released. However, they believe it will be announced this month with an exclusive release on the Microsoft Store. 

As for the price of the new Cipher Controller, it will be the normal price of $69.99. Since the controller series is already in the Xbox Design Lab it wouldn’t be shocking to see the Red design be an option.

Microsoft confirmed it will be hosting its annual Xbox Developer_Direct on Thursday, January 23rd at 1 PM ET / 10 AM PT / 6 PM GMT.

The Developer_ Direct is expected to have a couple of mystery games. We do know there will be South of Midnight from Compulsion Games, id Software with Doom: The Dark Ages, and Sandfall Interactive with Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.
