Capcom looks to be gearing up to bring more support to the Xbox Series X|S by enhancing Resident Evil games for the consoles. It was revealed a few weeks ago that Resident Evil 6 was rated by the ESRB which tells us an announcement will come soon.
Today it was discovered that the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) has rated Resident Evil 5 for the Xbox Series X|S. Capcom or Microsoft have not made the official announcement yet but when games are rated that means something is likely to happen soon.
Resident Evil 5 was originally released in March 2009 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 consoles and eventually made its way to PC. Over the years the third-person shooter made its way to the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch.
The Resident Evil 5 rating does not specifically mention PlayStation 5, but it is likely to be available on that console.
