In terms of the current elevation for Apex Legends, the game is spread across Steam & Origin on PC alongside console versions for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch. Despite the large scale of players that already grasped the growing battle royale, Respawn Entertainment is also working on a mobile release too. Back in 2020, it was reported that the game would expect an open window for users in China to try the game out then.
Additionally, Respawn Entertainment went on to deliver a beta test for the version which will stretch over to India & Philippines. Early last year, the mobile port was then forecasted to be delivered in some form by the end of the year. However, that did not happen to be the case. In a separate financial report, Electronic Arts told the end of the year could welcome the mobile iteration. That includes the fiscal year which ends in late March.
According to a new announcement by Respawn Entertainment, the firm shares that a soft launch will be going live for the mobile version soon in select regions. You can view the announcement in the tweet below:
“Calling all legends in Argentina, Columbia, Mexico, Peru, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Australia, and New Zealand: The soft launch for Apex Legends Mobile is coming!” the letterhead reads. “Pre-registration is only available in these countries via the Google Play store […] For all other legends (including iOS players), stay tuned for more!”
Currently, Apex Legends is preparing for Season 12 – Defiance. The new content season is to include Salvo inhabitant Mad Maggie alongside the new limited-time mode Control which kicks off nest week. You can read the full report by heading here.
