It looks that online storefronts are jumping the gun before Nintendo even had the chance to draw as retailer Honson currently has cases for the unannounced miniature Nintendo Switch model up or sale.
Twitter user @Nerd_Bacon brought this to public eye by sharing the link to the retailer, which brings you to the website’s page that has listings for both varying cases and protectant shells for the nonofficial SKU.

Initially, the smaller ‘slim’ model was reported by the Wall Street Journal to be a lighter iteration of the Nintendo Switch which discarded HD rumble along with the console’s iconic removable controllers. The model was said to be aimed towards those who favored the previous Nintendo 3DS model.
Alongside the more portable-friendly Nintendo Switch, the news outlet also shared that there is also a more powerful ‘Pro’ SKU which is aimed for those who prefer higher resolutions and smoother framerates both docked and on the go. Despite the speculation leaning towards this year’s E3 Direct, Nintendo shared back in April that there are no plans for a reveal coming in June, as we have already seen.
Seeing that cases have already emerged from third-party retailers, it foreshadows that we could expect the mini model to at least be upon us with a reveal in the coming future.
What do you think Nintendo has planned for the rumored mini Nintendo Switch SKU?
