Rockstar Games seems to be planning on opening an LA Studio, as indicated by a recent job listing for an Electronics Engineer in Los Angeles, California. This comes from the official Rockstar Games website where they share these job listings.

Rockstar Games does have a studio in San Diego, but this seems to be entirely different than the new LA studio. Part of the job listing says “What We Do” as you can see below:

We design and build cutting-edge hardware tools for motion capture and game production.

We collaborate closely with our stakeholders to create and invent new devices.

We design cameras, high precision timing circuits, scanners, etc., all in the service of creating the best games.

Rockstar Games has not made any public announcements, but it is evident that they have a new studio that specializes in motion capture, which is not new for them. Rockstar Games recently announced their acquisition of Cfx.re, the Roleplay Mod Community. Cfx.re will play a significant role in the future of GTA roleplaying.

In a recent earnings call, Take-Two potentially teased the release window for GTA 6 revealing it could come in late 2024.
