A report has surfaced the internet this afternoon from Gamereactor that they hear highly anticipated title, God of War: Ragnarok will be delayed until 2023. According to their sources, Sony has not made it official as of yet, but this has been confirmed from several of their European sources.
It is hard to tell when they could make this announcement whether it’d be during Summer Game Fest this week or during their next State of Play sometime in the Summer.
Along with this report Bloomberg insider & journalist, Jason Schreier shares that he hasn’t heard anything regarding this from his sources. Here is his response from Resetera:
“It’s hard to definitely prove a negative but Someone Who Would Know Firsthand just told me they haven’t heard anything about a slip to 2023, as did Someone Else Who Might Know Secondhand.”
Like always with these reports take them with a grain of salt as anything is possible.
Fans have been patiently waiting for God of War: Raganrok since its debut in the PlayStation 5 Showcase in 2020. We originally expected the game to launch in 2021 and now in 2022. Back in November of 2020 Jim Ryan confirmed that Ragnarok will be a PlayStation 5 title only.
