The discussion of Microsoft’s involvement towards the approaching console generation can be said more than simply energetic. The firm since December revealing the Xbox Series X has been strategically pacing with ounces of new details on the upcoming console alongside sharing some information of software that will be playable for the new console.

Most notably, the firm has literally stripped the hardware apart revealing the architectural components of the system itself – unashamed of what’s hiding under the case for public eye to dissect what potential capabilities the system can achieve. Features such as converted HDR support for backwards compatibility titles ranging between three generations of Xbox platforms is just one monumental function that the Series X can perform.

But with everything we already know so far, there is still plenty of details that has still yet to be addressed for the console and additions associated. However, a new rumor has emerged which tells that the company will be hosting two separate events to reveal much more on the beefier unit alongside the ecosystem of other disclosed hardware.

According to notorious platform insider @xcloudTimdog on Twitter, he discloses that Microsoft is planning to introduce two separate presentations for this coming May and the following June. What makes this even more juicer is that he claims we will see more of the alleged Xbox One S successor, Project Lockhart.

Codename Lockhart has been tossed around quite a bit prior to the announcement of the Series X. But it wasn’t until the December that Kotaku’s News Editor Jason Schreier caught wind of the unit still planned to ship alongside the more capable system, but information on such console was not properly addressed as of yet.

Furthermore, Timdog tells that Microsoft will host one event in May with a following more expected Inside Xbox presentation in June or potentially July. Reflecting on the official reveal of the Xbox One back in 2013, the event took place in May, so perhaps the same can also be addressed for the forthcoming Series X. The Series X did get revealed, but a proper showcase has yet to take place for the system.

As for the Inside Xbox, that is presumed to be the replacement for the Microsoft Press Conference that was initially scheduled to take place during E3. However, the event was cancelled and Microsoft has announced to be pursuing digital means to share more news of the future for the platform. Even more, the company has confirmed that all approaching events until July of 2021 will be broadcasted via internet, so these two events are expected to only be available through the confines of your internet provider.

Elsewhere in a recent report from Bloomberg, Sony disclosed to potentially be hosting a press conference to disclose aspects of the approaching PlayStation 5 such as pricing, launch date, and perhaps even a glance of the unit itself. You can read the full report by heading here.

As of now, all claims will be framed as a rumor until properly addressed by Microsoft to be legitimate; take this information as you will. Are you excited to learn even more about the upcoming Xbox platform?

Xbox Series X is slated to arrive later in holiday 2020.
