Activision came as a surprising when the AAA publisher announced that this year’s Call of Duty would get rid of the content layout for Modern Warfare that previous installments have practiced. Especially that this year’s title will also be disregarding the marketing deal with Sony Interactive Entertainment, that breaks the formula for how content is dished out for the franchise for a decade when initially planned with Microsoft.
Instead, the game will receive its content through scheduled seasons that will release forthcoming additional add-ons simultaneously on every support platform. Infinity Ward did so with the debut of Season One which currently introduced Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare map Crash and a few new & returning game modes also.
With more still set to be paved for the 2019 first-person shooter, Infinity Ward is ready to ship more as soon as tomorrow.Revealing that a update for Season One will be released within the next 24 hours.
Among this new break of news, Infinity Ward plans to bring the initially promised Vacant and Shipment to the roster of matchmaking maps among a few more additions. Sharing that Shipment will also be readied for 2v2 gametype Gunfight along with a holiday variant of pre-existing map Docks with new alias Over Winter. Special Ops will clarified to also be expecting “all-new Special Ops experiences,” although what exactly was not specified.
Excitingly, fan-favorite game mode Cranked will be returning to this year’s Modern Warfare tomorrow as a limited time game mode for players to test with the new formula for Call of Duty. The game mode initially debuted on Call of Duty: Ghosts and later reappeared on Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare two years after.
