Earlier this year, Microsoft announced that its former Xbox exclusive, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 will be coming to PlayStation 5 this Summer. Today, it was announced that Hellblade 2 Enhanced will come to PS5 on August 12, 2025.
Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 on Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam will also receive an enhanced update on the same day.
The enhanced version will bring smooth 60FPS gameplay in its new Performance Mode, a new Dark Rot Challenge Mode, Enhanced Photo Mode, and Developer Commentary.
Hellblade 2 was released in May 2024, and in our review, we scored it a 10/10. It’s the best-looking game we have played on Xbox Series X since the console released in 2020. It’s possibly the best showcase game for the console.
It was also revealed that Limited Run Games will be selling physical copies of Hellblade 2 for PS5 and Xbox Series. An official announcement for it has not been made yet.
There will be a Standard and Deluxe Edition available for Hellblade 2:
- Standard Edition – Available for $49.99, the Standard Edition includes the award-winning Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 alongside the upgrades and new features available in the Enhanced update.
- Deluxe Edition – Available for $69.99, the Deluxe Edition also includes Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice upgraded for PlayStation 5, as well as the Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice Original Soundtrack, making it the perfect entry point for Senua’s journey. Those who already own the PlayStation 4 version of Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice can upgrade to the PlayStation 5 version for free.
