Sonic Colors Remastered Uncovered Through German Listing, French Storefront Reveals Xbox/PlayStation/Switch Release For 2021

For many Sonic the Hedgehog fans, the wait for 2021’s big announcement for Sega’s billboard mascot is starting to build up as there is to be a new mainline installment for the series, as per an interview with Takashi Iizuka, head of Team Sonic. But, of course, this year also marks the 30th anniversary for Sonic the Hedgehog as well, so if like Nintendo, Sega is to plan an extravaganza for the character also.

Previously, Sega was discovered to be handling advisers for its investors on the plan for this 2021. In that, the flyer indicates Sega’s plans “new games, digital content, events” to be prepared for the franchise’s birthday later on. There was one potential tip that suggested a reveal back in March, but it was later clarified by Sega Europe that the indication was for an employee gathering.

But now in a new finding from @Kutairo on Twitter, the user reveals a listing for Sonic Colors Remastered from German voice-over studio, Iksample. However, there is no details disclosing a release window or its aimed platforms.

But, there is more clarification from Nintendo Everything following the initial discovery. Moreover the outlet discovered through French retailer Sogamely that the project is actually titled ‘Sonic Colors Ultimate’ and is planned to release this year on all major consoles – Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch. Of course, the game will most likely be playable on Xbox Series X|S & PlayStation 5 as well.

As for recent news in regards to Sonic the Hedgehog, it was reported by familiar leaker Zippo that remakes for both Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure 2 were real. However, the projects were scrapped dating well back to 2015 unfortunately. You can read the full report by heading here.
