Split Fiction on Switch 2 will cost $50, pre-orders go live on April 24

Electronic Arts and Hazelight announced that the co-op action platforming hit Split Fiction will be available for pre-order on Nintendo Switch 2 starting Thursday, April 24, for $49.99. The sci-fi and fantasy adventure will be a launch title for the console when it releases on June 5, 2025.

Hazelight Studios confirmed that Split Fiction will take advantage of the GameShare and GameChat features, providing the ultimate co-op experience.

  • GameShare will allow players to play together over a local wireless connection with just one copy of the game! Furthermore, Nintendo Switch 2 owners can also share Split Fiction with original Nintendo Switch users, allowing them to play together over a local wireless connection.

  • GameChat will enable players to chat live using the console’s built-in microphone and share video live with friends via supported USB cameras. The camera image will appear on the player indicator UI within the game.

Split Fiction was featured on the Creator’s Voice video series that Nintendo has started to release of various third-party developers.

Split Fiction is currently available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and the EA App for $49.99.
