The Nintendo Switch 2 has been showcased to the world, but customers in the United States and Canada have not been able to pre-order the console. The pre-orders were delayed due to the tariff situation, and Nintendo has been following it closely.
Through some reports this week, it’s believed that Switch 2 pre-orders will be going live next week. According to reliable insider, when it comes to retail listings, billbil-kun, in Canada, the Nintendo Switch 2 will be available for pre-order on April 23, 2025. While in the United States, Switch 2 pre-orders will go live on April 21 or April 30.

While consoles will go up for pre-order around these dates, the accessories, such as the Switch 2 Pro Controller, are expected to go live on April 30. It was also reported that these accessories will be more limited compared to consoles.
Recent reports have also indicated that most GameStops will have around 100 Switch 2 consoles available at launch.
Nintendo has yet to formally make any announcements at this time, and we are not sure if the price of the consoles will go up or not. The Switch 2 is expected to cost $449.99 USD while the Switch 2 + Mario Kart World bundle will cost $499.99.
The Nintendo Switch 2 will release worldwide on June 5, 2025, along with several first-party and third-party games.
