Starbreeze Studios announced that the publisher has successfully restructured the company after the initiation of the legal process since December of last year. Which looks to be a very good change of tide for the Swedish publisher seeing that the chances of Starbreeze’s head going under water within the year as reported earlier this year.
Upon the decisions leading up to official commencement in the restructuring process for Starbreeze Studios, we have witnessed the company selling off initially-owned subsidiaries under the company as publishers like Rockstar Games and Microsoft have acquired from Starbreeze.
Today, we are delighted and proud to announce that we have successfully completed the reconstruction process. It has been a toilsome journey for the entire company over the past twelve months, but we are very pleased to have gained the creditors’ confidence and have succeeded in reclassifying the majority of our debts to long-term to be repaid over five years.

However, upon the sold assets that Starbreeze had no choice but to sell in their circumstance, only on intellectual property truly stay, Payday. Given that Payday 2 released back in 2013, it would be refreshing to see the series return well into the new generation of console hardware.
