Xbox Executive would love to see a StarCraft revival

Tokyo Game Show 2023 has been going on all week and Xbox has had a large presence at the game announcing several games coming to Xbox Game Pass in the near future. A panel was hosted at the event with Xbox Chief Phil Spencer and Corporate Vice President at Xbox, Sarah Bond taking in questions from attendees.

A question asked to both of the executives was “Which IP is most requested to be revived?” Sarah Bond answered by saying that a lot of fans and media have requested the revival of StarCraft and she says “It will be fun to see if we can do something with that in the future.”

It had been reported a few months ago that StarCraft III is in development and what’s more interesting about this is that it’s an Activision Blizzard title. Microsoft is inching closer to the acquisition of Activision Blizzard as the CMA softens on pushback against the deal.
