Stray Receives New Xbox One, Xbox Series Versions This August

Rewinding back to the original PlayStation 5 Showcase presentation back in June 2020, Sony Interactive Entertainment showcased a select number of first-party titles alongside a myriad of third-party content coming to the newest system. Part of that includes the cyberpunk, isometric feline simulator, Stray.

From developer BlueTwelve Studio, you explore the dark and grimy streets & alleyways of ‘a long-forgotten city’. Accompanied by drone B-12, our tabby protagonist explores and overcomes puzzles & obstacles to be reunited with their family once more. The title originally shipped for PlayStation & PC in July 2022 last summer.

Now in the recent Annapurna Interactive Showcase, BlueTwelve Studio reveals Stray is on the way for Xbox later this August. You can watch the new trailer in the video below:

“Stray is a third-person cat adventure game set amidst the detailed, neon-lit alleys of a decaying cybercity and the murky environments of its seedy underbelly. Roam surroundings high and low, defend against unforeseen threats and solve the mysteries of this unwelcoming place inhabited by curious droids and dangerous creatures,” the description for Stray reads from the publisher’s website page.

“See the world through the eyes of a cat and interact with the environment in playful ways. Be stealthy, nimble, silly, and sometimes as annoying as possible with the strange inhabitants of this mysterious world. Along the way, the cat befriends a small flying drone, known only as B12. With the help of this newfound companion, the duo must find a way out.”
