Suda 51 Teases Towards Remaster For First No More Heroes Installments

Grasshopper Manufacturer head Goichi Suda recently revealed in an interview that the developer is looking to bring the first two titles of the No More Heroes series back with a HD remaster for both of the Nintendo Wii exclusive games. When speaking with Japanese gaming outlet Dengeki Online, he tells the website that he plans to bring the ports to Sony’s PlayStation 4.

At one point during the discussion with the video game site, Suda 51 stated that his studio is currently in talks with Tokyo-based developer Marvelous Games in bringing the remasters to reality.

“An announcement regarding that might be coming soon,” Suda shares with Dengeki Online. “Currently discussing it with Marvelous.”

Japanese studio Marvelous has previously worked on alongside Grasshopper Manufacturer for Travis Strikes Back: No More Heroes regarding the upcoming port to PlayStation 4 and PC. So if the two developers do proceed with creating the remasters of No More Heroes and No More Heroes 2 Desperate Struggle, it is possible that Marvelous will work on the version for Nintendo’s console while Grasshopper covers the title on PlayStation 4.

For the remaining part of the interview, Suda shares his influences regarding Travis Strikes Back; shouting out Hotline Miami and his appreciation for independent titles. The studio head adds on that this led him to pursue the latest spin-off title to “loopback” fter catching his attention.

In the meantime, Grasshopper Manufacturer is currently working on the upcoming No More Heroes 3 which was previously announced exclusively for Nintendo Switch with a 2020 aimed release window.

There is currently no slated release dates for the possible remasters of the two Wii titles.
