Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League Promises Offline Mode & Deathstroke For Season 4 As It Sunsets Support Following

Coming off the high that was Hogwarts Legacy in 2023, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment anticipated the following year with Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. However, the near-decade wait for the next Rocksteady Studios title ended up disappointing more than anything else. With a height of 12,000 Steam players and reportedly $200 million in the red, it did not take much to gather the failures this latest title brought.

According to IGN, plans for post-launch support for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League appeared to extend beyond its promised first year roadmap. Since then, we’ve faced three seasons with a trio of added Task Force X additions: Joker, Mrs. Freeze, and Lawless. And with claims Rocksteady Studios is already ramping up a return to the Dark Knight, it was speculated the next update will be the nail in the coffin for this live-service attempt.

Recently, Rocksteady Studios confirmed that Slade ‘Deathstroke’ Wilson will be the next playable character for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. It was later clarified he will be the last addition for the game. Moreover, the promised offline mode will also be going live as well for the game when the new season drops as well.

With Deathstroke joining the roster, the Suicide Squad’s crusade against Brainiac is drawing to an end. Season 4 will finish up with Episode 8, which is scheduled to release in January 2025, and that will serve as the last seasonal Episode for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.

While Season 4 Episode 8 will mark the final battle against Brainiac, all online features will continue to be available, so you’ll still be able to enjoy co-op with friends, as well as all previous seasonal/episodic content. You’ll also have the option to play the game via the new Offline mode, which allows access to the main story campaign and all post-launch seasonal gameplay content without an internet connection.

“Yes, Season 4 will be the final post-launch season for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. Season 4 will begin with the release of Episode 7 on December 10, 2024, and will finish up with Episode 8, which is scheduled to release on January 14, 2025. Episode 8 will serve as the last seasonal Episode for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League,” the official FAQ from Rocksteady Studios reads.

And while the team says support is to end after Episode 8, many functions for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will remain. Online features are to remain alongside co-op support as well. The FAQ also confirms that LutherCoin in-game currency is to also be available to purchase and spend also.
