It was less than a year ago that Metalhead Software revealed that Super Mega Baseball 2 would be receiving its own port to Nintendo Switch. Now fast-forwarding to March this month, the team is back to reveal that the next entry is upon for this coming spring. Announcing that Super Mega Baseball 3, the latest installment is shared to reiterate on the foundation of the 2018 sequel and bring even more gameplay changing aspects to the base.

You can watch the announcement trailer for the game in the video below:

As for what makes this new entry to the series unique is the highly-requested Franchise Mode. Similar to what fans experienced in the first game, players can orchestrate their own team over a handful of season and take on new immersive traits like player aging and free agent signing/releasing.

Other additional aspects new to Super Mega Baseball 3 if offering up to 14 playable stadiums with a responsive day/night lighting system, more in-depth team customization, and fully-supported cross-platform play. However, cross-play will only be available in the game’s Pennant Race mode, assuming other game types will only offer matchmaking on the respected platform. And unfortunately, fans on the current game cannot transfer rosters to the new title.
