Sydney Sweeney to Star in Split Fiction Movie

Since its success since it was released in March, it was revealed that a Split Fiction movie is in the works. The game by Josef Fares has broken three world records and sold over 2 million copies. It was reported by Variety that Sydney Sweeney will star in the Split Fiction movie.

The outlet also reports that the script for the Split Fiction movie is being written by Deadpool & Wolverine screenwriters Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. It was already revealed that the movie will be produced by Mike Goldberg and Story Kitchen. 

Will Sydney Sweeney play as Zoe or Mio?

It has not been revealed if Sydney Sweeney would be playing as Zoe or Mio. They likely have to wait until they cast the other lead role, or they don’t want to reveal it yet.

Video Game movies have started to slowly take over theaters, with multiple coming out every year. This year, we have seen A Minecraft Movie earn over $700M, Until Dawn is coming to theaters very soon, and Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 will arrive this December.

In 2026, we will see the Super Mario Bros. Movie 2 release in April. A release window for the Split Fiction movie has not been shared yet.
