Take-Two expects to support the Nintendo Switch 2 says CEO

Take-Two Interactive held its FY25 Q3 earnings call today revealing new information about its plans this year. The publisher stated they still expect GTA 6 to release in Fall 2025 as mentioned in the past. Many believed the game would be pushed back again.

During the financial results today, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick talked about the Nintendo Switch 2 and if they’d continue to support the platform. He talked about how they have a “longstanding relationship with Nintendo” and talked about previous support such as Civilization 7 coming to the Switch.

Below is the full statement from Strauss Zelnick (Thanks Nintendo Everything):

“We’ve had a longstanding relationship with Nintendo and we’ve supported the platform when it made sense for the individual release. There was a time when Nintendo platforms were really geared at younger audiences and that was reflected in our release schedule. Now with today Switch and potentially Switch 2, the Switch device can support any audience. As you may have noticed, Civilization 7 is now available on Switch. While we have nothing specific to report, we actually would fully expect to support Switch.”

It comes as no surprise that Take-Two Interactive wants to support the Nintendo Switch 2. We have seen GTA: The Trilogy, L.A. Noire, NBA 2K, BioShock, and other titles released on the Nintendo Switch since 2017. It remains to be seen if GTA 6 will be released on the Switch 2, but it could be a possibility in the future.

On April 2 at 9:00 AM ET, Nintendo will be hosting a Switch 2 Direct that will give a closer look at the console and will likely have games. It is yet to be determined which games will be showcased by both first-party and third-party developers.
