It was a big scare for the final season of Telltale’s The Walking Dead series following the California-based studio’s sudden closure back in September as the fate of concluding the season weren’t looking great. But Skybound’s videogame division Skybound Games picked up the half finished final season and soon enough obtained most of the staff that originally worked on the episodic title to pull The Final Season all the way through.

During the Kinda Funny Games Showcase, a teaser for the upcoming episode was revealed along with a confirmed release date of mid-January for Episode Three ‘Broken Toys’. The teaser only featured events that occurred up to this point in the series and didn’t present any new information that is on the way for the final two episodes.

It’s amazing seeing how orchestrated the team already is to bring the next episode as development on the upcoming episode was restarted only three weeks ago. Though the studio won’t be able to fulfill their planned release date before 2019, the idea having it not too long after is simply a gift for fans showing how much the developer is eager to finish Clementine’s story.

The Walking Dead: The Final Season Episode Three will be available on January 15, 2019 for assumed platforms which is contrived of Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
