This Halloween season will not officially commence until the titular holiday arrives; as we traditionally celebrate the Fall festivities with pumpkin picking and trick or treating, Nintendo Switch owners will be busy with a new game. Next Thursday on October 31st, Nintendo will debut the third installment for the Luigi’s Mansion series.
For fans who have been eager to get their hands on a new release for the series since the 3DS sequel back in 2013, there is a related event happening over on Tetris 99. Nintendo announced that those who play the online-centered Tetris title this weekend will earn towards a new theme inspired by Luigi’s Mansion 3.

Time and time again Nintendo has released timed events for the battle royale which just like this one, will provide players with a new look for the game upon reaching a certain metric. Similar to previous events, the manner to unlocking said theme can only be done through receiving 100 event points to reward you the specialized theme.
For instance, Nintendo did the same when it came to the release of Fire Emblem: Three Houses. About a month following the release of the latest installment for the game franchise, Nintendo revealed that players could unlock a Three Houses’ theme within a three-day span by unlocking event point on Tetris 99.
The Luigi’s Mansion 3 event will be kicking off on October 25 and conclude later this Sunday on October 28. Are you hopping on Tetris 99 this weekend?
