Over at Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, the firm publishing anticipated releases like Gotham Knights and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League still continues to deliver more entities utilizing the vault of Warner Bros. licenses under its arm. So far, we already witnessed the publisher go on to reveal a new platform brawler, MultiVersus.

As gathered from the title alone, the bevy of franchises and series’ owned by Warner Bros. joins together in a new free-to-play brawler which bridges together characters like Shaggy, Batman, and Adventure Time’s Finn. However, there has been hope that Monolith Productions would reveal its next major release soon. Hopes did rise ahead of DC Fandome last year through one post online.

But it was at The Game Awards this week that Monolith Productions shared it is working on a new Wonder Woman project. You can watch the reveal trailer in the video below:

“She will fight to unite the warriors of two worlds. You are Wonder Woman,” Monolith Productions writes in the announcement post. “In development by Monolith Productions, creators of the critically acclaimed Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor and sequel Middle-earth: Shadow of War, this open-world action-adventure game will feature the beloved DC Super Hero, Wonder Woman.”

“The single player open-world action game will introduce an original story set in the DC Universe and allow players to become Diana of Themyscira in the fight to unite her Amazon family and the humans from the modern world.Powered by the Nemesis System, players will forge deep connections with both enemies and allies as they progress from a heroic fighter into a proven leader.”

It still comes as a surprise there has yet to be a major developer to tackle the notorious Man of Steel once more. Despite the reputation to work on such a game, God of War (2018) game director Cory Barlog listed possibilities such a game could take to be successful. You can read the full report by heading here.
