In the reign of legacy IPs making a return to its core with titles like Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart back in June and now the approaching release of Halo Infinite later this month, fans are excited to see beloves franchises return to do what the original orchestrated decades ago. Similarly, film is experience a similar breakthrough for classic pieces in recent months as well.

This year, entires such as Halloween Kills and Ghostbusters: Afterlife prove to keep what makes these movie series so iconic while meeting expectations of long-term fans alongside new ones to come. In December, The Matrix Resurrection is on the way to theater in the latter half of December and to accompany it could be a tied-in game.

According to a finding over on Reddit, user u/the_andshrew discovered a new listing for ‘The Matrix Awakens: An Unreal Engine 5 Experience’ for the PlayStation 5. While there is no direct details on the project so far, there is a single image for the game which you can view below:

Grasped that the game is being built with Unreal Engine 5, it is unsure if this project will be a full-fledge title or simply another showcase for the proprietary engine using a familiar brand. Earlier this summer, Epic Games provided another demonstration for Unreal Engine 5 with the suite scheduled to release in an unspecified time frame in 2022.

Earlier in October, Paramount Pictures in collaboration with Saber Interactive, iLLOGIKA, and EP1T0ME is to be working on an A Quiet Place game.
