Exploring what publishers are planning to establish for its future lineup, June is one the pinnacle times for announcements to take place. Typically, E3 would be the event to do this, but many firms are straying away from this format. Already, Ubisoft shared to be hosting its own Ubisoft Forward show separate from the conventional event. Shortly after, ESA shared plans for a 2023 E3 is no more for this year.
Additionally, other events are to take place. For instance, Summer Game Fest is being held on June 8th that same month. Then following on June 11th, Microsoft is to host its own showcase. In a tangent showcase after, Bethesda Game Studios is to hold a featured presentation on all things Starfield in preparation of the game’s September release later this fall.
In a new announcement on Thursday, The PC Gaming Show it to be returning – with or without E3. PC Gamer confirms the new event is to take place on June 11th after Microsoft’s held Xbox Game Showcase that Sunday. “A 2023 edition of the PC Gaming Show will broadcast on Twitch and other video platforms on Sunday, June 11,” global editor-in-chief Evan Lahti writes.
“We’re hard at work assembling this year’s show, which is coming together nicely. Host Sean ‘Day[9]’ Plott will return as host and ring leader of the showcase. Look for more details about the games that’ll be featured in the show in the coming months on PC Gamer. A broadcast time for the PC Gaming Show will be shared at a later date.”
Additionally, a separate showcase was confirmed to take place later on this summer. In that, Geoff Keighley revealed via Twitter that Gamescom Opening Night Live returns this year on August 22.
