
Developer Ubisoft Montreal when it comes to the ongoing tactics-based For Honor, the team aside from added Heroes also likes to include pre-existing properties to the mix which helps fans return and introduce other players to the 2017 title. Most notably, we have witnessed previously back in December 2018 when the Assassin Order and Templars orchestrated a war in For Honor through a timed crossover event.
Now in 2020, a similar circumstance has arrived with a different series this time. Revealing the Blades of Persia Crossover event, the titular Price of Persia is introduced to the formulaic melee arena title. Starting today on March 12, users can play the newly added pseudo-Dominion Ruler of Time game mode on the sand-covered makeover of Harbor. However, the twist here is that the starring protagonist will randomly enter the match through a stray sandstorm and attack any player in his sight.

Adding on, there is a second chapter that is slated to arrive next Thursday on March 19. The contents of this second segment of the event is shared to be a metamorphosis for the map alongside the Prince who transforms into the ‘Dark Prince’ when the time arrives. Ubisoft Montreal also tells that a bevy of weapons, 26 exactly, will be available for players to unlock before April 6, the assumed end date for the event.
Of course, there is also a slew of in-game items that can be earned via the free Event Pass activated for Blades of Persia: cosmetics such as outfits, ornaments, effects, and a new execution will be up for grabs before the timer runs out for the new gameplay experience.
This will be the second instance that Ubisoft has utilized the Prince of Persia property outside of a new mainline installment: just last month, it was disclosed that a new VR Escape Room is scheduled to be set up in multiple cities based on the series. Dubbed ‘Prince Of Persia: The Dagger Of Time’ a team up to four must unearth a way out of the Fortress of Time through means of elements unique to the series.
